Rosanne is a freelance music teacher as well as a lecturer in Music Skills for the Certificate Programme at the University of Stellenbosch and a freelance harpist. Rosanne obtained her BMus degree (solo performance in recorder) cum laude in 2006 from the University of Stellenbosch. During this time she studied recorder with Karin Maritz, flute with Corvin Matei and harp with Jane Theron. In 2007 she obtained her BMus Honours (solo performance in recorder) cum laude from the same university. Rosanne has passed her Unisa Gr. 8 examinations in piano, flute and concert harp with distinction as well as her Unisa Performer’s Licenciate and Trinity Guildhall LTCL Recital in recorder. She has received several awards and bursaries for academic as well as practical achievements and was awarded US Academic Honorary Colours in 2007.
Rosanne has performed at various weddings and corporate events in the Cape Town and Stellenbosch area and her extensive performance experience includes accompanying choirs as well as being principal harpist in the University of Stellenbosch Symphony Orchestra, the University of Stellenbosch Symphonic Windband, the Stellenbosch Chamber Festival Orchestra, the Sasol National Wind Orchestra and on occasion, the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.
